Inspiration behind the ‘Eternal Love’ wedding theme
Inspired by the timeless classic ‘Swan Lake’, this bridal style shoot named ‘Eternal Love’ features alluring themes of romance, flamboyance and luxury. The styled shoot revolves around a professionally trained ballerina who dances her way from black to white feathered gowns. ‘Eternal Love’ was designed to inspire brides to get creative with their wedding themes, embracing the dreamy art of ballet.
Materials & Elements
It should come as no surprise that a style shoot inspired by the ‘Swan Lake’ ballet uses plenty of tulle, and of course, feathers. These materials are predicted to be in high demand amongst the couture bridal designers for 2019-2020. For a touch of luxury, the theme embraces pearls and diamonds to embellish the beautiful bride. The use of pearls can be found throughout the shoot from the handmade ‘Derby Pearl White’ bejewelled crown by Viktoria Novak and the pearl embellished veil by Alin Le’ Kal, to the very details of the bride’s eyes, which were adorned with decorative stick-on pearls. Lustrous and sparkling designer elements can also be found weaved throughout the styling, from the incredible diamond jewellery to the Swarovski feather design belt and glistening designer Sophia Webster heels.
Parisian themed venue
The venue and décor births the one for your wedding. Since the opulent and timeless ‘Eternal Love’ theme was inspired by the 19th century ballet, the wedding took place in a Parisian style venue. The venue is filled with exquisite 17th-19th century French antiques crafted for the monarchs and royal court of their time.
Floral Inspiration
To reflect the earthy, moody and dreamy theme. Floral arrangements were created using the latest wedding floral hype – Pampas Grass. Pampas Grass balances the rustic and earthy feel, whilst providing a feminine and romantic finish – it also resembles the soft finish of feathers, making it the perfect choice for this wedding theme. Other flowers embraced in the shoot includes Hydrangea, Anthurium, Wheat, Pennisetum, Joey Fern, Stirlingia, Bamboo, Spray Roses, Sea Holly and Hanging Amaranthus.
Luxury Couture Gowns
As this theme is all about luxury, naturally we had to use gorgeous couture bridal gowns! This shoot features a number of different couture gowns designed by Alin Le’ Kal. The designs were flown in straight from Paris Fashion Show 2019. In fact, Alin Le’ Kal was the first Australian designer invited to debut his collection at the couture shows at Paris Fashion Week. These history making gowns are from his breathtaking S/S 2019 collection.
Custom Wedding Stationery
To reflect this unique and opulent wedding theme, Adorn Invitations created an awe-inspiring elegant wedding stationery suite. The set includes premium pocket invitations stamped with gold real hot foiling to reveal a personalised monogram with the couple’s initials. The invitation and menu are made from 3mm thick acrylic, with feathered patterns sprayed upon the surface. Whilst embracing the luxurious specialty finishes, the stationery suite was designed with an understated neutral colour palette in mind.
Reception Details
The reception styling details have been designed to embrace the breathtaking 19th century gold antiques. To achieve this, the crockery all have a touch of gold and the catering includes brushes of painted edible gold. To balance with gold styling, the rest of the décor have natural and neutral tones, such as the linen napkins. In order to provide a continuation of the theme of feathers drawn from the ‘Swan Lake’ inspiration, the wedding cake has been designed to resemble feathers, with strokes of gold-brushed tempered white chocolate.
